Sander Zwanenburg

To reach a climate neutral society in 2050, we need to expand renewable energy generation. Sander’s drive is to help create this society as a legacy for his children. He has a BSc in Naval architecture and a MSc in Technology Management, so gets enthusiastic with everything related to Innovative Offshore Energy Technology. Sander has been active in the Offshore Wind sector for over 15 years in various commercial leadership roles. He joined Fibersail in 2023 as CCO as he saw the mounting challenges of increasing failure rates on large wind turbine blades. Fibersail’s solution is unique, monitoring the shape of the blades as a method to remotely detect damages. As an avid offshore sailor, Sander was particularly drawn to this solution as it was initially conceived for optimizing the shape of sails for yachts.
