Meindert van Genderen was trained as naval architect at the Delft University of Technology, and added an MBA at the Erasmus University later in life. He worked as technical director of a large shipping company for over 15 years, building, managing and contracting a specialized deepsea fleet.
He co-founded a new heavylift company several innovative ship concept he developed. he became the. In the early days of offshore wind he shifted to a turbine installation company in the UK and later on was active in offshore cable and foundation repair projects.
Today Meindert is a partner at Marstrat, which provides advisory to the offshore and maritime markets. His main focus is decarbonizing the hard-to-abate sectors of industry and transport.
