Martin van Onna joined Airborne in 2007 and initiated the establishment of Strohm as a business unit. After overseeing its growth over a 5-year period, which included its transition to an independent company, he assumed the role of Commercial Director. In this capacity, he successfully led the market entry and business development efforts for Thermoplastic Composite Pipe in the SURF (Subsea Umbilicals Risers & Flowlines) and Subsea Well Intervention sectors.
In April 2022, Martin was appointed CEO of Strohm, where he continues to concentrate on positioning TCP as the premier offshore pipeline solution for Renewable Energy and Conventional Oil & Gas applications. Before joining Strohm, Martin spent 8 years in the upstream sector, primarily focused on well intervention, culminating in his role as General Manager at a leading global provider of well services equipment. Martin holds a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from Delft University of Technology.
