With a background in Fluid Dynamics, Martijn works now for almost twenty years in the energy sector. In 2008 Martijn started in research and development at Gasunie and worked as consultant for DNV before he returned to Gasunie in his role as advisor Energy System. His work crosses energy sectors and energy carries, and the local, national and North West European level. From 2018 till 2024 Martijn contributed to the North Sea Wind Power Hub Programme on how to integrate large scale offshore wind in the energy system.
