Folkert completed his master’s degree in Offshore Engineering from Delft University of Technology in 2002 and has since been working for BP and Shell on multiple large projects. He spent time in engineering offices across Europe, on an FPSO in the North Atlantic, at shipyards in South Korea and refineries in The Netherlands and Qatar. Folkert was Project Director during the tender phase for the Hollandse Kust West wind farms and, following the win of site 6 by Ecowende, he has been carrying on in that role in the Execution phase.
