The Government of the Netherlands considers Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) the flagship event for the offshore energy sector in the Netherlands. Through the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Dutch government has been a prominent partner for many years, actively contributing to the event’s programme and bringing together expertise from across the offshore energy sector.
This year, RVO is organising a series of expert sessions covering key developments and challenges in offshore wind. The programme offers an international audience of industry professionals, policymakers and other stakeholders the opportunity to learn from Dutch expertise, explore innovative solutions and exchange knowledge on the future of offshore energy. OEEC ticket holders are welcome to attend these expert sessions, advance registration is required.
Expert sessions:
Offshore wind in harmony with nature
Discover new standards in nature-inclusive offshore wind development. Explore how ecological principles can be integrated into every phase of wind farm development, creating opportunities for innovation, economic value and the coexistence of offshore wind with other activities at sea, including fisheries.
Integrated maritime clusters: the future of offshore energy
Explore emerging technologies, innovative projects and new opportunities for smarter, more integrated maritime energy clusters. From offshore energy storage and floating solar to offshore data centres, discover the next generation of offshore energy solutions.
Reducing costs through stable design
DNV and industry partners share insights from a Joint Industry Project (JIP) bringing together stakeholders from across the European offshore wind sector. Discover how greater consistency in design parameters, project requirements and development pipelines can reduce costs, improve project delivery and strengthen confidence across the supply chain.
The 2GW Challenge: Creating the next generation of offshore connections
The Netherlands is moving towards a new generation of offshore wind connections designed to accommodate up to 2 GW of capacity per connection. How can the sector overcome the technical, logistical and organisational challenges of delivering these complex connections?
Sharing Data, Connecting the North Sea
The energy transition in the North Sea requires not only physical infrastructure, but also a robust digital infrastructure. By connecting data sources, sensors, locations and users, the Netherlands is developing an integrated data ecosystem known as the Digital North Sea.
Cyber Resilience for Offshore Wind
As offshore wind farms expand, protecting critical seabed infrastructure and digital systems is becoming increasingly important. In this session, experts explore the key risks and challenges surrounding seabed infrastructure security and cybersecurity, and discuss ways to strengthen the resilience of offshore energy systems.

Special workshop: Offshore Wind Energy in the Netherlands
The final session is open without registration, taking place on Wednesday on the Conference Stage. It a special edition of the Workshop Offshore Wind Energy in the Netherlands. Join the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK) and transmission system operator TenneT for their semi-annual update on Dutch offshore wind developments.
Taking place one day before the permit application period opens for IJmuiden Ver Gamma A and Gamma B (1 GW each), the workshop offers timely insights into the latest policy developments, the Dutch offshore wind roadmap and the future of offshore wind in the Netherlands.
Networking receptions at the NL Pavilion
Meet international government representatives, offshore wind developers, Dutch supply chain companies and trade organisations during the networking receptions at the NL Pavilion at booth 2.212.
Connect with key players from across the international offshore wind sector, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration in an informal and welcoming atmosphere.
