Projects Lead Europe – FlexGrid at DNV
Richard Hibberts-Caswell is Projects Lead for Europe at FlexGrid, DNV’s global HVDC/FACTS practice. With 20 years of experience in the energy sector, he previously led global power system studies as a director at an international engineering consultancy. Prior to that, Richard spent eight years at Siemens Energy, delivering HVDC/FACTS projects, offshore wind integration, and AC substations. An experienced technical advisor and owner’s engineer across system planning, design assurance, testing, and commissioning phases, he has supported more than 25 HVDC/FACTS projects, including playing a key role over eight years on a privately-financed 1,400 MW VSC HVDC interconnector.
