Bio René van der Meer:
René van der Meer has a long history in the international maritime industry. After years of traveling the world for the dredging industry, he worked as Project manager in the Dutch Oil & Gas industry.
In the recent decade he utilized his passion to drive the Energy Transition and stood at the cradle of feasibility studies and early pilots for offshore hydrogen production.
This summer René joined the team of Hydrogen of Dutch Origin (H2DO) to accelerate the production of green hydrogen at sea.
Hydrogen produced close to sustainable offshore power sources is elementary for the energy system of the future, with affordable, independent energy for a competitive domestic industry.
