With more than 25 years of international executive experience, he combines a multicultural perspective with a proven ability to build high-performing teams and foster strategic partnerships across diverse markets.
A chemical engineer from TU Delft, with executive education from IMD and Erasmus University, Maurits has held senior leadership positions at GE, Alstom, and SBM Offshore. Throughout his career, he has focused on driving growth, operational excellence, and business transformation across the energy and industrial sectors.
Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Maurits leads Hitachi Energy’s efforts in the Benelux to accelerate the modernization of critical energy infrastructure. Through digital, data-driven, and eco-efficient technologies, Hitachi Energy is helping create a more flexible, resilient, and sustainable power system that supports economic growth and the electrification of society for generations to come.
