Managing Director at Frequensea

Dieter Korndorffer holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and brings over 30 years of experience in offshore engineering. Before co-founding Enersea, he led the Subsea Department at KCI, where he later served as Technical Director for more than 25 years, overseeing complex offshore projects from concept to execution.
At Enersea, Dieter combines deep technical expertise with a forward-looking vision for the energy transition. He plays a key role in developing sustainable offshore systems — from hydrogen and offshore wind integration to life-extension and repurposing of existing assets.
Most recently, Dieter and his fellow founders launched Frequensea, a start-up dedicated to responsible subsea decommissioning. The company’s patented removal technology marks a major step toward circular offshore operations and demonstrates his commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility in the offshore sector.

“Dare to rethink and challenge conventional methods to make offshore solutions affordable, safer, cleaner, and more sustainable.”
