- Geographical advantage
Poland has one of Europe’s most important supply chains serving the offshore energy sector and is becoming a Baltic Sea offshore wind hotspot. Your presence at OEEC will reinforce your position in the global market.
Poland’s offshore wind sector is advancing rapidly with several projects set to come online over the next few years and many in development. Already having a strong offshore energy supply chain, especially in the areas of shipbuilding and manufacturing, the Baltic Sea country is poised to become one of the leading offshore wind countries in the region.
The Polish government has been actively expanding the offshore wind sector by offering concessions for new areas as part of the goal to have up to 11 GW of offshore wind capacity installed by 2040. With this much offshore wind capacity, the country aims to transform its energy landscape and contribute to the EU’s renewable energy targets.
Poland is also looking at other clean energy production, including clean fuels and green hydrogen. In 2021, the Polish government allocated more than €4 billion for offshore wind, port development, and hydrogen production and distribution in its National Reconstruction Plan (KPO).
OEEC fosters global collaboration in offshore energy. As Poland develops its offshore wind sector, the Netherlands—a leader in the field—offers expertise, technology, and a strong project track record.
By exhibiting at OEEC, Dutch companies can showcase solutions to support Poland’s offshore wind growth, from supply chain development to grid integration. Partnering with the Netherlands can accelerate Poland’s renewable transition and energy security.
OEEC is the ideal platform for Polish and Dutch stakeholders to connect, share insights, and explore business opportunities. Join us to be part of Poland’s expanding offshore wind market!
Poland and The Netherlands are strategically located on the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts, which are ideal for constructing offshore wind farms. This geographical advantage allows to collaborate effectively on offshore wind projects.
