Tuesday 25 November, 15:30 – 15:55 | CRUSE Offshore – Cheap offshore H2 utilizing oil industry technologies and infrastructure @ The Stage
Chemical Scientists, Group Leader at Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg
Dr. Andreas Bösmann is group leader at the chair of Chemical Reaction Engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, where he heads the working group “Hydrogen & Energy”. After studying chemistry at RWTH Aachen, graduating with a diploma and doctoral thesis on ionic liquids, he co-founded IoLiTec GmbH in 2003, which specializes in ionic liquid technologies for energy and chemical process innovation. Since 2006, he has been a scientific staff member at FAU Erlangen, focusing on catalysis for biomass valorization and chemical aspects of energy storage, especially hydrogen storage in Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHC). Dr. Bösmann’s research contributes to hydrogen technologies, liquid organic hydrogen carriers, and sustainable chemical engineering, with > 80 publications and > 25 patents in these areas.
“LOHC bridges the gap between offshore green hydrogen production and industrial use onshore.”
